WARKENTIN PARTNERSHIP is a studio for the practice of architecture and community design, in historic downtown Riverside, CA. Established in 1979, we combine the
planner’s methodologies with the creative instincts of the architect and
the urban designer’s search for meaning in the community landscape. Economic feasibility is the foundation
of our design efforts and anchors out design choices in real world
considerations. The award winning,
20 year old firm is involved in large scale community master planning,
architecture, the preparation of design guidelines and economic development
strategies, strategic planning and governmental policy planning.
We believe architecture derives it’s content from the context of community and the criteria of urban design. In the natural course of professional growth, we have developed special expertise with hillside development programs and village-scale community development that evolve into truly neighborly places.
